Frequency Allocator + Frequency Arbitrator = Linear Phase!

Frequency Allocator teamed with Frequency Arbitrator maintains linear phase according to their website. That means frequency response of the drivers are unaffected. They are out of beta version but the version 1.0 can be purchased at discount before Christmas it sounds like. I think I am going to try it out.

    Added:
    $100 for F Allo
    $70 for F Arb

Sorry if it is a little "off-topic", but is there any thread that explaine how to use/what make sound optimisation like Feedback, reverb, damping, diffusion, pre-delay, attack, Xth order crossover, Dynamics Processor, etc... Im sure it can understand it easily, i just dont find any reference...

Do you mean in general for tuning or for a specific software program?

Well I took a screen shot of the plugins a while back in post 68

    http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...8&postcount=68

Setup will depend on what your stereo/system setup is.

I particularly have a 4 way stereo setup, no surround.

All I want is crossovers, EQ, and time delay.

For crossovers you could use the 2 and 4th order crossover.
For EQ there is a basic 10 band or a parametric.
For time delay there is "the small delay" or "timebalanceV2".

When I get home today, I will construct and example of what would work for me, but that doesn't mean it will work for you. I will post it up here. I don't want reverb, dynamics processing or damping because that is somewhat destructive processing. I am trying to keep from altering the sound as little as possible.

Well my research has told me that the latest version of winamp has a built in version of the 4front eq, as it was better than the winamp eq. Problem is, it seems you cant disable it, and that eq is built in with the bass/treble knobs, you adjust those, the eq adjusts. This takes effect on all mp3 /non lossless music. I even installed the stand alone 4front eq, and it says (inactive) when tis not a lossless song. So I just went with the 4front, tuned it on winamp to match the sound of mp3's and the standalone one for the lossless files. Maybe what I will try later is an older version of winamp with the dsp bridge and use that 31band eq again. Maybe it wont bypass it and use the built in amp

Great stuff you guys! (and gals :)

Really great information. Doubtfull very many people will stick a computer into their car audio system (or visaversa) But interesting research. VERY interesting actually. Good job REDGTIV6

By the way Audison amplifiers are VERY accurate in their crossover modules in all the series (SRx, LRx, and VRx) Really!! just an FYI

    Great work, keep it up.

No one is contesting that some amps have good built in crossovers, but when you want to make fine tuning adjustments it's too hard to do a comparison if you hop in and out of your car to go change amplifier settings in the trunk, especially when it requires actually changing a resistor pack or similar.

Computers are a lot more versatile than a HU when going to make changes, addons or upgrades. At some point they will be the norm IMO...ok maybe normal for me at least.

crossovers are more set & forget, especially if you use an rta to set your baseline, but it is nice to be able to tweek & play with the crossover points too if you need to tweek those transition areas a bit.... I have played around with my crossovers in my car way more than I normally would have, mainly because the alpine does make it so easy to do that, as would a pc of course....

now when I had to jump from my trunk to my cabin while tweeking the eqt's.... THAT sucked
