That is very unfortunate. Yes agreed very good guy. Spent about an hour with me describing his design theories and ideas. I am sorry to hear this.
Take care. I'll keep an eye out for the LRx but I want either an 8 channel or a 6 channel for my front stage. Don't worry I won't hound you.![]()

Sat in a seminar with him. He knows what he is talking about too. I competed against a car he designed over and over again in SLAP (Rick Nicols Nissan Altima I think)...lost but then again I think I was pretty close considering the state of my equipment and the fact I was wet behind the ears.I know of at least 2 other vehicles that will have PCs in their cars for competition next year. I know that Scott Buwalda has been running a PC in his car since around '98. After speaking with him this weekend, I very highly doubt that PCs are a far cry for audio nuts. I told him about this group of folks and what we were trying to do, he was highly interested, talked with my husband and myself for about 30 minutes and gave me his business card. Wanted me to get with him about it. Also threw out the statement that he believed that CarPCs would turn the 12v industry on it's head.
Ya I saw that. It's good that the industry stops in to "check in" on us.Hi, Larry Frederick here - I am the USA distributor for Elettromedia and responsible for all technical issues concerning Audison, Hertz and Connection products.
Added: Damn I wish Blaupunkt would get me some CES passes and I would join you guys. CES is awesome.

On my continued search for loudness compensation

I am not sure on this one.
Anybody tried this?
I can't try it because you have to own their product and register for it. Good find though. I bet there are more out there. Have you checked http://www.KVRaudio.com ? They have a ton of VST plugins over there.

Ok I have been trying over and over again to get Frequency allocator demo working. I had some break throughs last night but I still can't get it to work the way I need it to.
I was able to use ASIO4ALL drivers and the ASIO output plugin for winamp to get somethign setup in the console program, however, Winamp bypasses the console program and I don't any output from the console program itself. The only thing I did get to work was the follwoing method:
1) Winamp ASIO output plugin with ASIO4ALL selected as device
2) Winamp VST DSP plugin bridge
3) Loaded console into the vst plugin bridge
4) then loaded Freq allocator into console program.
5) Setup my routing but that is where there are problems...
The only problem is that the VST plugin bridge is 2 channel stereo in and 2 channel stereo out. So I cannot route the output signals properly. Anyone have any ideas?
I posted over in the thuneau forums and I got one response from another mp3car member who I have PMed. Hopefully he will join us for discussion. I saw him pop in another thread about crossover software on mp3car but he didn't respond much or go into detail how he was using Frequency Allocator.

awww! who is it!?
I've purchased all of my new hardware and am going to purchase the new software once I have everything set-up in the house.
Then I'll be able to pay with it all and see what I can come up with. With the help of all those in this thread, I'm sure we can figure something out.
Afterall, if no one persued the CarPC, we wouldn't ever be in this position!

Crossover software

what hardware are you running for this?
I went for the RME hammerfall series for this.
HDSP 9652
And the audiocontrol matrix line driver.
The latest patch should have less CPU over-head.
I thought the core-duo might be a suitable option with either the mobile chip or a normal.
For complete silence has anybody considered solid state hard drives?
Yeah I know there is a performance hit, but with enough ram????
Found another possible volume compensation.
