I'm just looking for a good USB design to use for this. Most USB devices on the market now are only 1 line input, so those don't work.

Have you looked at: http://www.controlanything.com/Merch...gory_Code=VIDS ? I am thinking of one of these to switch my AM/FM tuner board, Sirius Sat radio, and few other things.

Also, they have massive number of relay boards.

    Wellllllllllllllllllllllll///

I think that all of the options for a source are available in the computer.... AM/FM has several USB modules that are controlled via software, and XM has XM PCR that is a USB interface.

I guess I cannot think of anything that would be outside of the PCs realm for a source....

Is anyone still working on this? I thought that hippohifi might have had the answer, but we still don't know how well this solution works with the eq's. Also for external audio ie. for a fm tuner, couldn't you still input via the mic in on board soundcard?

Sorry if I have misunderstood the soundcard input thing, I have just read all the corresponding threads this morning and still trying to get my head around all of the information in them.

@ Red: Have you made any more progress? Back eariler in the thread you said you were going off to do your own thing? Are you any closer to a solution?

Software EQs would be a problem, are you refering to something else?

Yes you can do this, furthermore is the source is not analogue you can use virtual audio cable to reroute the audio path from one device to another.

ok i think i have the solution i have an 8 channel usb soundcard all in one...with 8 left/right outputs and one usb input....it also has 8 24 bit dacs...thats right one per channel...now im sure this thing has **** poor voltage outs...so why not get a six channel pg linedriver and a 2 channel one...that would every channel to 8-10 volts! next step would be setting all the processing up on your computer and there you go...nice clean install and everything you need....let me know what yall think

I'd try it without the line drivers first. The simplier the audio chain the better.

PS what audio chip is the GIGAPort AG using?
