That way your computer will recognize 5-6 devices (dac's +hub) but you can use them the way you want!

Even using some outputs for different audio output/multi zone (wireless headphones?)...no problem as the computer sees the different channel pairs as different devices!

we really need to know if multiple usb dac's can be used simultaneously to begin with.... this would make off the shelf very practical...

Wouldn't that require some software-adjustment, for tweaking the DAC's simultaniously?

I'm not totally caught up on my software... but can you take a wave file, and split up the wave by frequency then send it to different sound cards?

Not different channels, I know you can do this with console... but what about different channels on completely different cards?

I was thinking along the same lines but I don't know enough about USB dacs either. The take something like the circuitry of an audiocontrol matrix and hack it into the same enclosure and make the opamps they use interchangeable.

But can a USB DAC be recognized in ASIO apps? Does ASIO4ALL work with these USB dac's? Who has a DAC, or who has multiple DACs laying around that they can test this with? Bueler....Bueler...anyone...Scott_fx?

I have seen mention on one of the audiophile sites of a review of one of the usb dac, & there was mention by the reviewer of how 3 of these would build an awsome home theater.... if this is a go then most problems are over, with the exception of higher line voltages, but this can be modded for sure no problem I think....
