    if we can find a way to get 3 or more USB dacs in one enclosure and upgrade the voltage outs, then I think we're good.

    getting them in one housing won't be that big of a problem, getting them to work simultaniously and get the software to see all the channels and separate them corectly will be much bigger of an issue. That, along with raising the ouput.

    Is this something that is going to be realised (the 8or 10 ouput DAC) at a short notice? If not, I'm maybe willing to take the risk and link 3 silverstones together. Only thing is, It won't be in the next few months. I have to start looking for an other car first because this car is falling apart

    integrating them & boosting them should be achievable.... I might just go get 3 cheap ones & try this... if this works this can be a good solution...







    OK, maybe this is a bit off topic too, but not too far off really,

    I just looked at the driveracks... the drive rack 480 to be exact....

    this thing is totally sick.... I mean if you really want a professional studio in your car this is it, the f1 is a toy next to this... the only thing keeping it from perfect is it's only in the analogue domain, but one usb dac with an xlr out into this thing would just be so frigging sweet... there is a software that they give that makes everything totally controllable from the pc... I dl'd it & played... really nice....

    of course the fact that it's huge & costs like $2,500 isn't going to win anyone over here, & it also kinda goes away from the original idea of all processing on the PC, but my goal is to simply have the best system I can have & integrated & fully controllable on the pc...

    this looks like an impulsive consideration for me that I haven't fully though out, but I'm not ruling out anything else at this point either...

    You'd have to wind down the PSU from 110/230 to 12volt

    the Drive Rack has been used in numerous cars in competition. Converting it to 12v has been done before without issue.

    maybe I should start my own thread to not keep clutering up the software thread & this one, it's just that where else can I discuss this stuff with guys that will even understand it
