    Thank you again sargeants. I did fire it up last night late and it's working.

    Just for the record for anyone else;

    On page 27 of the V2.1 manual for jumper 3.2.2 setting; there is no square pins shown. However the way they oriented the jumper on the page matches the board as sargeants stated above so the top PIN in all three diagrams should be shown as the square PIN.

    The other issue with the manual is on page 28 for setting JP4, the top jumper diagram shows the square pin on the left and the bottom shows the square pin on the right. The square pin should be on the left in both diagrams. This one is not too bad because the board itself clearly labels PIN 1

    Little known fact....

    I have just dealt with the issue of powering my Dell D600 using cartenix 1900 and only a part of the lind power supply.

    The LinD cable that goes between the computer and the lind ps is detachable, on that cord is a inductance coil type piece that has the passive electronics that gives the dell that "OEM" signal.

    Just using that piece of cable wired directly in to the carnetix's Primary 20v circuit the dell is happy thinking there is the proper adapter attached. No need for the extra power supply.

    if you look closely at the wire, the plug that goes into the Lind adapter it is only a two prong plug, center is positive 20v, the other end is the Dell three prong plug- Outer barrel is Neg. Inner barrel is 20v Pos. Center is "OEM" wire.

    Wonder if you could order the cable only from Lind. Hope that helps someone

    Cheers
    Ellie

    Wow, that's interesting. I wish my HP was detachable and functioned the same so I could loose the power brick.

    i have a Dell studio and i tried this on there just took the power supply cut it off hooked it up to to separte power source that can put out 9.5 volts with enough amps and then the center wire spliced in the ac adapter but the PC still says can detect teh power supply...

    what else can i do??? so need this to work!!!!! to a volt meter to all the wires and get crazy things from certain ways i do it liek you said with teh two wires i get perfect voltage but if i take the center wire as negative and the inner ring i also get correct voltage... this is all coming from the ac adater by the way.
