I've been playing with the layout and have some questions. First, am I able to add any qtz file as a screen saver? I put the one I'm looking for in the same location, and even named it smoke, but it didn't load. I'm a mac toddler, so I must be doing something wrong.

Second, how is the background in coverflow created? I'm assuming it's pulling straight over, and there is no changing it.

Yes and no. You can either use one of the qtz files as a template and modify it however you like, or use any qtz file but make sure that you have the same published inputs.

Unfortunately without any official documentation for coverflow, we are limited with what we can do. There will be a way to change it, we just don't know how.

Dear ICE³ developers and all,

I think I saw the post(s) a while ago, where ICE³ people were seeking some new look for version 2 release. [Co]incidentally, I was trying to write my own custom application (that's not for in-car use but for my "Mac Mini in the Kitchen" project) and I started designing the front end for that purpose. I was trying some very simple to use "Front Row" like approach, yet attractive keeping apple remote and touchscreen in mind and this is what I'm thinking about.

Those are all pure graphics at the moment but I'm happy to share (or help) if it's useful for ICE³. Cheers!!!

haven't seen any action in a while just wondering if ice has died like most of the other FE's for mac :-( i hope not!

Srbatty has helped me with a couple issues, so I'm pretty sure it's not dead. I've created a "theme" and am almost ready to post it up

I hope the development of this front end doesn't die. It seriously has the potential of being the greatest thing ever.
