Kinda looks that way, unfortunately. Both this and Neon Boombox had great promise and fizzled out. Hope one or both is revived someday.
Any day is a good day for golf.

Having not dug through this forum much this may be a stupid question but other then coverflow what made this any different from other front ends? (other then it ran on a mac)

So you came here to do what? Push your own front end by passive aggressively say "it runs on a mac"?

I try to help out the community by giving you an open source option that you guys can take part in and thats "pushing a front end"? wow
Mac development was put on hold due to lack of interest so i am trying to figure out what you guys are looking for in a front end and see if we can find a way to meet those needs.

While I nor anyone would snub an OSX running front end...your entire project is written like a marketing exercise. Dont take offense when it seems to continue to your posts in the way you word things.
Write a decent front end for OSX, the masses will follow.
ICE3 is top at the moment, but buggy and feature lacking.

@sdashiki
So a developer asks you what u are looking for in a mac front end... and ur response is to accuse him of promoting his software? And instead you tout a front-end that has been dead for likely a year, rather than just answering the question? With that type of community response you will likely continue to beg for source code to an unsupported app for a long time. Hopefully VMT will actually offer some sound response on this issue, maybe he would even be interested in assisting on the mac side of the development team.

First off, I am really excited for your work with OpenMobile, and cannot wait for the next version with Mac compatibility. You are doing some really great things, and that amazing voice recognition. However, I think this thread might not be the best place to seek support from Mac Developers, and I would like to recommend that we start a thread in the main forum. That way you will probably get a lot more supportive interest. I wish I could help with the mac development but I have no idea about any sort of programing, apart from a little java. If you could get OpenMobile to work on a mac like it does windows(correct me if I'm wrong but I think I read somewhere that the latest Mac versions media player didn't work or something), then it would be a great advancement for the Mac Car community.
I want a front end that can play CDs and DVDs from the optical drive.
I want a front end that runs on OSX Leopard 10.5 with touch screen
I want a front end that works with Griffin PowerMate
I want a front end that loads cover art by either embedded graphic (for MP3, AAC, etc.), or defers to a file in the same folder with the same name as the album for (WAV, MP3, etc.), or then defers to a file with the track name (for WAV, mp3, etc.)
and I want it to work without being slow or having hiccups.
For all the above, I would gladly pay money.
The only things ICE³ won't do from the above list is the WAV file cover art loading, and playing CD's and DVDs. The minor bugs are livable.
