Thread: ICE3 and AppleScript?

You know that you can script the user interface with Applescript?

Also, check to see if issuing an Applescript command to Quicktime to stop playing will do it. I think ICE3 uses QT to playback.

I agree that it would be great if ICE3 had applescript support built in and maybe srbatty will add that when they add keyboard support. In the meantime bugbyte makes a good point that you can control it by scripting the interface. You can also have BPE mute the system volume as a quick and easy fix.

Very interesting guys. I am always amazed at what is possible with Apple.
If it helps, the next version will have keyboard support, with each button being configurable.
I'm not really too sure what is possible with applescript or how to add support for it.

However, I'm sure if it's needed, we can do it.

Last I checked (and I admit it's been a while) the iPhone won't do talkthrough with BPE. I tried it out and contacted support and they admitted it didn't work well. If they've updated it since then I would be very interested.

I can confirm that BPE does work with the iPhone. A lot of its features don't work, but basic talk through, phone book, and status all work. The newest release even includes echo cancellation, but I haven't tested this yet.

To deal with echo cancellation, I am using the solution that is explained here.
I am using the microphone that came with that product. It works, but I want to get something better.
