Thanks Marvin. Well, time to ask them.
But just for a little debate. Since the word use and install can be confusing. Base on that EULA, I can installed the software in as many PC as I want, but I can only use it on only 1 PC at any moment. I can only use 1 PC and a WCE at any given time, but not 2 PC.
Look like most software, the EULA always left out the keyword that giving lawyer chances to argue.

Quick question on the TTS feature...
I understand it can be set in the registry to TTS the entire directions, including the "In 1.2 miles, turn..."
Now, my carputer is a bit on the slow side, Celeron 600, 512 MB RAM and a 3600RPM, 4GB CF microdrive. I chose these components because it would make for the smallest, cleanest installation. However, I notice that the IG voice has a bit of a speech impediment... It will stutter on some of the directions, or it will skip certain parts of the direction, so instead of saying "In one point two miles, exit on the right" it will say "In <pause> oint two <pause> iles, exit on <pause> ight"
I am thinking that since each of those directions are simply WAV files, it cannot open them in time due to the HDD speed, etc.. Do you think the TTS will be better?
Here's the answer (from iNav):
* "USE" = activating and physically using the product.
* While ONE license only allows ONE use, the activation limit has been set to TWO so users with TWO computers don't have to constantly de-activate and activate back and forth.
* Users may install on as many pc devices as they wish but max of 2 activations are available at any given time. Users may utilize the de-activate and re-activate option to transfer license among multiple PC devices if they have > 2, provided all these devices belong to the same licensee (owner of iGuidance).
lol, why would anybody exchange iGuidance4 for iGuidance 3???
also, I doubt you could find anybody willing to trade IG4 for DSA or MST either.
if you are the legitimate owner/licensee of those 3 titles, then sell them on eBay. between the 3 of them you should be able to get enough money to buy IG4 (you may even have some left over).
good luck![]()
No expert, but I doubt it. I would think the TTS engine would require more processing power than just serving up pre-recorded wav files. So although it may help on the slower hdd issue, you might have issues on the processor side now, especially if you are multi-tasking.

Did you get RR to lower the volume when it gives directions or do you just have the music and iG4 battling it out whenever it's time for an instruction?Originally Posted by sebberry
Considering getting it, but I like the features of iGNative in RR for iG3, like the volume one... I think I would miss them.
