anyone have an idea how to change the color of the roads and txt of ig4?
Im not sure is it because I changed the skin, but my background is very light and the txt is green, very hard to read. I tried changing in the option but it never changes.

You can skin iG completely through reshack.

As for simple colours, the settings should work.

^ thanks i'll check the theme.ini for more skin options.
I solved the color changing problem by changing to 2d first and then change the color and then changed back to 3d, and it worked. Must've been some kinda bug.

This is for the guy a page back asking how to save your home address persistently:

I was having the same trouble, till I copied the maps to my harddrive (don't use them off of the DVD). I think when you're using the DVD still, you can't write to it so there's no persistent storage of your preferences. So the solution is to copy the maps (a folder on the DVD called "iNav iGuidance" or such) to your harddrive (to the root of any drive, such as C:\), there's more information in the user manual. This allows your home location to be stored persistently. Hope this helps.

iNav activation Policy SUCKS!

I imaged my carPC and of course when it crashed I could not reload INav because it checks for a clone HD two days worth of emails and they just give you the run around. I have a second copy that I forgot to unregister when I upgraded the HW, it let me install a second time. 6 months later I upgraded to a x61t and unregistered it from the other pc and loaded it on the tablet - so far so good.... Then Vista SUCKS and it crashed on me. I reloaded Vista and reloaded iNav - NO GO... I thought it may be an issue with Vista compounded with all the other problems I was having with Mickeysoft vista CRAP I decided to downgrade to XP. Well Life is good again... XP is running fantastic. Now the real test - loaded iNav IG and it says the dreaded Error -84 (cloned).... I sent them 4 emails to them that I own 2 NON working copies and they replied with well it is installed on 3 pc's and I said ahhh no it is not. I have one license for my car and one for my tablet. They replied with the log file showing the reg/dereg log and I said no that is incorrect, I have two licenses and two computers and it works on NONE. They replied with the log file again... Are these people freaking stupid or they can not remedy a situation. I would be even willing to pay a reactivation fee... Sometimes I understand why people use pirated software. Basically I am out two copies.....

The best thing I can do is warn you guys to stay away from iNav. They have absolutely 0 customer service.

Here is a copy of their last reply from I Nav Customer Dis-service

I would like a response so I may proceed accordingly:

I guess I am not being clear. Let me say again “I have NO PC’s other than my X61t CURRENTLY”. I really do not understand you telling that it is still installed on PC”s that do not exist. I do not have any computers other than the laptop I am typing this email on. I would like to use my GPS. So if you are indicating to me this is not going to be possible, then say so and stop running me around in circles. I will then accept the fact I have thrown away my money and move on to another product.

Sincerely,

xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Vincent:
Other than the one de-activation showing on 3/10/08, there was no other records of de-activation. This is why it's server is showing total of 2 activations.
This is all the records we show:
12/29/07 1st activation (PC#1)
2/2/08 2nd activaiton (PC #2)
3/8/08 4 activaiton attempts but all failed because you've already have 2 activations
3/10/08 deactivation on PC #1
3/10/08 activated on PC #3

hmm... activation is a pain in the *** when things go wrong.
Did you explain to them your system crashed and you could not do a de-activation? That might help them speed up things a little.
