We are very excited to inform you that the long awaited iGuidance v4.0 will be released during week of June 25, 2007! Please read on for product features as well as pre-order information for existing and new customers.

V4.0 Product Info
New V4 features include:
New Navteq map including Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands
Text to speech (TTS) (street name in voice guidance)
Extended POI listings (6 millions)
Pre-generated seamless map file for entire N. Ame (1.3GB)
Automatic font sizing for POI's w/ long names
Fullscreen easy toggle for car pc/UMPC w/o keyboard
*Internet activation process required
*Map file = 1.3GB (requires min. 2GB SD/CF for pocket pc version)

New Website Launch
We will be launching our new website next week in conjunction with v4. New site will include online demo/tutorial as well as screen shots for our laptop and umpc/car pc versions. MyIG and new registration section will be much more convenient for you to update your registration and contact info 24x7. In addition, existing registered customers may simply login to register add'l product(s) without having to fill out your contact and device info again.
14-Day Evaluation Disk

Due to popular demand, evaluation disks will now be available for iGuidance laptop and UMPC/car pc version software. Customers have 14 days to evaluate iGuidance on their laptop, umpc, or car pc. When you are ready to purchase, simply visit our Online Store or contact our authorized resellers to purchase and use the activation code you receive in your email to continue using iGuidance beyond the 14-day eval period. We hope to make pocket pc version eval disk available as well in the future.

Copilot has no problem with this. Have you ever tried it??

It sure would be nice if it has a qwerty keyboard option, though I'm not holding my breath.

There's a solution to the QWERTY problem. I personally would love more POIs and will probably upgrade.

Thanks. I'm already using igqwerty. It's a nice piece of work, but there's nothing like having qwerty native to the app. Also igqwerty and the DigitalFX skin, which I'm using, don't play totally well together.

really hmm thats odd i tested with DFX you mean the autoit scripts and IGQ?
ill be sending my preorder lets slap this company into submission or this will be my last purchase

I'm still having the city issue that is discussed in the igqwerty thread. One of your posts in that thread said the following:

"... that enter city part was because of the original skin that JohnWPB had made it covered the iguidance text and he had static text up there that said enter city so whenever the OSK popped up it would always say the same thing."

I'm also having issues when I use the keyboard to pick an alphabetical POI while using the DigitalFX skin. I'm able to find the poi okay, but when I hit "nav" the keyboard pops back up and I can't get rid of it. Unfortunately, I'm not that familiar with how IGQ works, so I don't know if it's related to the scripts.

I really like the new features in v4... I have wanted text to speech for a long time, more POI's would be nice, especially if you are traveling and need to find a hotel, and the single map file is a bonus. I'd be happy to not use map loader. Still looks small enough for most of us to manage

ill add a kill button for times like that in the next version DIGI fx has alot going on with all the autoit scripting thats what it hink conflicts also its color themed (if you use the themed patch JohnWPB released) doesnt leave much room for skinning cause IG is white and DFX is typically darker.
