Nope, they sent 3.0. Yeesh, if only I'd waited 2 more days... Oh well, now starts the emails to inav to find out how to get upgraded.

I'm pretty surprised that person had the gall not only to ask in the first place, but his message certainly made it look to me like he completely thinks this is 100% acceptable and absolutely expected you to send him the software...

On that note, there was some comedian on TV the other day. Said he was watching the TV advertisement that said "you wouldn't steal a car, why would you steal music". His response was, "I wouldn't steal a car, but if my friend called me and said I just bought a new car, do you want me to burn you a copy..." I'm absolutely against software piracy, but this was a funny bit.

I don't make alot of money, i worked hard for the $100 I spent on that software. I did not buy it so that you or anyone else can get it for free. if you want a copy of IG4, then do the right thing and PAY FOR IT!! the software developers worked hard on this software. it is IMO the best car PC navigation software you can buy, so it's worth the money.

NOTE: hopefully you will choose to be honest by legally purchasing the software. but if after reading this you still choose to steal the software anyways, then you will quickly find that you cannot use it. IG4 requires internet activation to use the software. this is an inconvenience to honest users, but a necessary step to prevent people like you from stealing it.

apparently some people feel that they are better than the rest of us and that they are entitled to getting things for free that the rest of us have to work for. PLEASE, nobody else ask me to give away what I worked hard to get.

• Classic style - as in previous iGuidance versions (human voice - no street names)

• Text-To-Speech (the whole voice prompt in text-to-speech)

I'm assuming it is because I installed it on a Vista machine in my carpc. It works fine on my XP laptop. Two questions:

Is there a vista patch for v3?

Anyone running v4 on vista?

I haven't yet made the switch to Vista, but I just checked iNav website for you. iG4 - PC version: Windows ME/NT/2000/XP/Vista

I was finally able to get V3 working with Vista. I had to download the 3.1 patch and then configure the GPS to to the same port as the USB to Serial manually. Auto detect did not work. It works perfectly so far!

Software innovation is alive and well

iGuidance by iNav is based on the software which can be found in several PNDs. The newest personal navigation device by Intellinav will include "Traffic Pattern" also called "Predictive Traffic" data. I'm guessing this may indicate what we may see a year from now in a future version of iGuidance.
