If you want the software to be around in the future, buy a legal copy. If you want MP3car.com to be around in the future, buy from the above link.

It depends on what you are looking for. Many people update because they need new map data each year. I drive a lot, so I would gladly pay for a new version. But I know people who still keep in their cars 10, even 15, year old printed maps, and they are just fine with that.

I personally don't see a compelling feature improvement in the new v2009 (v4.1), but the new map data makes the new version worth the money.

OK, I have iG4 and started to shop for a new software after it forced me to use my pocket PC Sprint Telnav GPS. One thing I hate about iG4 is the way you enter a address. With TelNav I enter the address by address, city, state, zip code. iG4 doesnt do that, you have to enter part of the address and its just a mess. I spent a long time trying to enter the address and it kept saying invalid house number. Please tell me in iG2009 they have changed and or improved this?

PS: On my pocket PC I had to enter addreses into my contacts and then hit the use contact address button in the PPC version. The address entering is just a nightmare with iG4.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean (I love the way I enter address in iG). Nothing has changed in this area in the new version.

It doesnt let you enter full addresses. Say for example I want to go to:

    2 Alhambra Circle
    Coral Gables, FL 33134

But in iG4, you cant do that, you have type cross streets and ranges. Maybe im doing something wrong?

That was a bad example.... I tried to go to the Sprint store with it, and I couldnt go because it said invalid address.... Can you try for me? If you do get this to work then I'll keep it then. Maybe I am doing it in the wrong order?

That one works, too. Enter the destination the following exact way: City First -> miami -> OK -> 19th -> OK -> 10670 -> OK -> Nav

(I see the destination at the corner of NW 107TH AVE)
