    Just received mine today.

I'll try to get some pictures posted in a couple hours.

    Upgrade or new purchase price

If you have any registered iG version purchased before May 2008, it looks like it will cost $79 to upgrade. It is the same price for anybody who never had a registed version at all. If you want the Pocket PC version upgrade also, there is a combo pack upgrade for $99 but it won't be available until sometime in September. I was all set to order tonight until I saw that about the combo. I use both, the UMPC in the car, and PPC version on my HTC Touch phone. Guess I have to wait a little longer. (mumbles, twiddles thumbs)

    Installed, uninstalled, reinstalled. Grrrrr.
I'm running on a Vista box, but my account has administrator privileges and UAC is disabled.

Found a program called MapLoader.exe in the installation directory.
It's copying stuff from the CD to my hard drive.
    That sounds promising.

The installation process kinda sucks, but you'll have an advantage since I've showed the step the left out. I took it for a drive last night and found a couple of rural roads that I was sure had to exist but never found by intuition before, and it worked well. I like the UI so far. The real test will be entering a destination and using it for directions, though.

I haven't used Garmin Mobile PC, or anything from Garmin, so I can't offer a comparison between them.

I really like IG4 so far, right now I cant justify paying extra for IG2009, but it looks like it might be a little nicer.

One thing that confuses me... I cant, for the life of me, get IG4 to find McDonalds... lol
