I'm sure this probably isn't possible, but its worth a shot.
I recently rented a Prius for a road trip. I got a chance to use a OEM gps system as opposed to my carpc using Iguidance 4.0. One thing I really liked was all of the POI icons were custom.
For example...
If there was a BP gas station, it would have a little BP icon.
If there was a subway, it had a subway icon.
Also for just general food, it would put up a flag of its origin. Like chinese food, or italian.
All of the icons in iGuidance are so boring and the same. Any chance of this modification?
Possibly with Resource Hacker, but not anywhere near what you describe. Could probably change some of the POI icons, if they're in the EXE. I'll take a look at iG4 and see. I didn't know 4 did POI icons. I'm still running 3, but I should probably upgrade.
EDIT: Nope, no chance. You can edit the POI Icons to be something a little more snazzy/colorful, but no customizing for different POIs of the same general category. iNav would have to add it in to the proggy.
