Are you using SPDIF? This will ignore your Windows volume slider since it's digital and it's either on or off.

I'm using this card and wouldn't the SPDIf affect all volume not just Iguidance?

Winamp volume up, windows & Iguidance volume all the way down and still I get yelled at by Iguidance. I also notice that it is also amplifying the music as well when the prompts come on. I checked in RR Config and played with the "Lower volume to %" checked the box and unchecked it and still get the same results. I'm fresh out of ideas...I just leave iguidance on mute![]()
plug in headphones to the onboard audio jack and see if it does the same thing.

ok, I had to install winxp again so everything is fresh. Testing the system on my desk and the GPS sounds fine. Installed in the car and I'm having the same issue. The only difference was on my desk I had the speakers connected to the headphone jack of the sound card instead of the RCA's. Gonna try and connect back to the headphone jack and see if it changes anything. Will post results shortly
ok, that did nothing, Iguidance is stll loud
