    Air Mouse

Anyone use the Gyration Air Mouse? I was browsing my neighborhood Comp USA and saw it. Suppossedly you can use it in air with the movement of your wrist. It came with software suite of tools to control most of windows, media, internet. It runs on the 2.4g wireless so no line of site needed. I am charging it now to see how it will work in a car.

Well used long enough to install it. Loaded with no drivers, Plugged in receiver let it sync with the mouse and up and running. With a flick of the wrist it moves the mouse pointer accurrately. You can use the windows mouse options to speed up and slow down the movement speed(I will try slowing it down a tad.) Installed the control software and it gives you the options to set the hotbuttons to control just about every aspect of windows except inputting keyboard qwerty keys. Rechargable battery with charging dock(really only downer so far, the dock is not designed to securely hold the mouse to charge. You would need to charge it while the car was stopped, or design a way to secure it to the dock better.) This can also be used as a traditional mouse for when you have someplace to sit it on. It also came bundled with a mini keyboard measuring about 14-16"(I will get an exact measurement later.) Keyboard has all the media, volume, and internet shortcut buttons and is wireless using the same receiver as the mouse so you only need one usb port for both. I am still hoping to get my ondigital keyboard working but this would be a nice backup in the trunk if ever needed.

I have the gyro mouse. I use it with my PS3 for the ocasional web browing when im in the living room. I got it for my car but never got around to installing the carputer I just seem to be so busy. Plus i dont want to do any more work on my truck. I need!!! to get a new car/truck this year. Then i will install everything.

Anyways, The gyro mouse is awesome. Has led sensor in case you want to use it like a normal mouse. The docking station could use some modification for car use. Manual says to charge for 9 hours. But thats probably first time charge. No need for drivers on the PS3 and i dont think i ever loaded the drivers that came with it. However the software has tools to control anything windows. Launch programs with the wave of your hand Or minimize. Media functions could come in handy.
Um, I guess this is where you put something witty.WITTY
