Thread: xbox360 chatpad, awsome backlit mini keyboard

Hey guys! I joined the site just to watch this thread. I'm not a techie but i have a wired controller, a chatpad, and a positive outlook. If you need me to run any kind of software-related tests, just let me know!

So you couldn't figure anything out?

I don't have to get it in the mail until tonight so i'll put a full day in before then.

For now though, I haven't seen anything promising. Raw packet capture shows no data being sent when the chatpad is in use (only the controller) which makes me suspect its a polling based system but i'll keep trying and see where I get.

Would it be possible to reprogram the firmware so as to act like a normal USB keyboard? (I really have no idea so please don't just call me dumb) :P

Not really...i haven't ripped a hardware apart but I imagine its write-once.

How hard would it be to modify the MAC driver for PC use? I'd imagine you'd have to know both MAC programming language and C++

Very very hard....apples and oranges. I could take a look at the source and figure out how things work though.

ahh source code.... we have a love and hate relationship. Any luck?
