USB Cuts out on resume and every few minutes...!?

Im using a USB touchscren overlay and is works fine. The problem is to do with the USB port itself (i think).

I know it has been talked about before and i have searched, but after resuming from hibernate the touchscreen does not work. Apparently XP cuts power to the device and it doesn't come back on. Devcon and a refresh possibly be used to fix this. However i found it confusing as.

Even if i fix this... the touchscreen stops working after about 4-5 minutes.

If i restart the touchkit software it works a treat.

So maybe someway of closing and opening the touchkit software every 3 mins will work?? i know its not the best solution.

Or a program that refreshes the USB devices on a set interval??

Any help would be great. Cheers.

p.s. i am using eturbo touch drivers

Ive since learnt about batch files that i can use to close and re-open programs. coupled with task scheduler i can achieve that at any interval a please. Just tweaking so that it doesnt start up over the top of my FE.

There's a down & dirty tutorial on here. Search for it.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Yeah i read it... well skimmed it and it seemed to complicated so all i did was...

use a program called hibernate trigger to close the touchkit program on hibernate via batch file... then reopen it (via batch file) minimised so it reloads the touch panel info....

i also moved the usb cable for the screen from its own port to the usb hub i am running.... and so far it hasn't dropped out. so for now all is good
