I created a auto switch mod for my Lilliput EBY701, but its been done through the remote control (doing it directly to the screen caused it to act buggy). So what I wanted to do is incorporate the remote into my install. How do I permantely power the remote. I know after such extended use the battery will die and I do not want to have to change it. I know it uses a 3V quarter size battery, I dont not know what to do from there.
Anyone have a solution?

You could wire up the battery terminals to a 3V power supply. If you are anything like me you have a a bunch of old phone chargers, and all kinds of other car chargers that probably come pretty close to 3V. There is also 3.3V from the computer power supply. I don't know how sensitive the remote is, but I would think it would be ok. On the bright side, if you fry it they are only 10 bucks from the mp3car store.![]()

I am not sure but my technical answer is "not very much." The remote uses one 3V watch style battery which probably has a very low milli amp hour rating and those batteries last a long time. The amperage is probably much, much lower than what a cell phone or such would use to charge, so I wouldn't worry too much about amps.

I wouldn't worry about the amperage...
the remote is powered by a little button cell battery. it uses very little power. almost any 3vdc power supply you can find should be able to provide more than enough power for it
