8 pin din to 8 pin mini din:

Hello, first i would like to say thanks for letting me join here. looks great around here...i searched long enough & finally (i hope) found a place that maybe can help me. i have a Peripheral PXDP (ver:1.4.1 mini din) that i am needing to hook up a PX2X (regular din) for second input to OEM Bose system on a 99 Corvette. talked with Peripheral & they said the newer versions w/mini are connected the same internally as the older PXDPs w/reg din. i asked if they made an adapter/connector to work & of course, NOT! i have bought the connectors to convert this & am here to see if someone can help me figure this out....Thanks in advance...

If you can find out (or already know) what pins go to what, you can pick up the proper DIN and mini-DIN connectors at someplace like mouser.com or digikey.com and make your own adapter. It will require the two connectors, a bit of 8-pin wire (try serial cable or cat-5), and a bit of solder. Good luck!

CarPC v2.5 up and running - all hardware installed, skin configured, and iG tweaked like crazy. Now for OBD-II, and voice control, and camera plugin, and... :nutz: - it never ends!
