best camera to use for dash cam

i have purchase 2 usb webcam, both are decent but it was pretty bad when it was used during the day. the sun was too bright so i cant see anything on my screen. it was ok after like 6pm when the sun starting to set.

so is there any way to adjust this or is there any webcam that you guys prefer to use as a dashcam?

i dont want a dashcam to be too bulky. the smaller the better.

also i know that the mini spy cam that they sell on ebay are pretty good agaisnt sun light. but is there any ways to convert the a/v adapter to usb??

any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem with a standard web cam.

The answer I found was an Eyetoy camera from a Sony Play Station.

They are mostly made by Logitech and can handle changeing light levels very well.

It is compact and sits nicely on the dash. There are articles on here about using such a camera
