The guy in this tread made one. He even listed the parts needed and a schematic for anyone who wants to make one themselves. Take a look. http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/revi...vo-mini-4.html
Has anybody seen, or at least attempted to find/ build a car charger for the DiNovo Mini keyboard? I have a mini, and the thing's awesome. I just want to charge it while i drive around if i want to.
According to the charger, it's output is 8 VDC (can't recall the amps off the top of my head). I'm guessing you could just use a simple resistor to get that, but i have no idea how to figure it out.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated? Of course, i know you need the amps to give a definitive answer. I'll update this post later on with it if nobody chimes in. Thanks in advance.

Yea just follow my schematics in the link above. You cant really use just resistors to limit the voltage because the mini doesnt draw constant current. So you need a voltage regulator that can handle the same or more current than what the AC adapter charger is rated for.
Also for safety I should have mentioned to not charge the mini in extreme hot or cold conditions.
Thanks for your help guys. For some reason i couldn't get that thread to turn up in a search.

Probably because it's only a single post, not a thread.
I remember hearing that the thing will last for 1 month on a 4 hour charge. Might not be worth the hassle if you will only use it once a month.
That's true....but what's the fun in that? If i was concerned with "hassle," i would have picked a different hobby like 6 months ago.![]()
