    JoyMate

Currently in the brainstorming phase of a Joystick based input program. I've got it marginally working with volume control currently, and am trying to figure out what other features would be needed/wanted. Here's the rundown...

    Coding it in VB.net 2008 (because it's free ;-)
Will support 1 or more game controllers (up to 6 analog in's (axis) and many digital in's (buttons)).
Can currently map any axis to any Mixer Slider.

Some things I was thinking about were a few analog in threshold triggers as well. Something like:

    Code:
    Axis 1
     0%- 20% Repeatedly send PageUp
    20%- 40% Repeatedly send Up
    40%- 60% Do Nothing
    60%- 80% Repeatedly send Dn
    80%-100% Repeatedly send PageDn
Any other uses/features you can think of for this? I started this because I wanted a decent volume control (that didn't look like a VCR head) for my wifes ride, and i had a few old usb joysticks that were dying to be chopped up. So i got master volume working, and then realized that i had most the work done to make use of a lot more than one axis to one mixer.

This is my first time coding a program that anyone besides myself you ever use, so please, be gentle. I'll post up my current version when i'm no longer at work.

    sounds good

hey, this sounds great. i was thinking of trying something simmilar. obviously volume up and down are important, i would also think left left and right to change music tracks would be good. maybe tap right for next song and hold right for fast forward or something like that? also, you could set one joystick button for enter... and one for mute/unmute.
i use the centrafuse software and i believe it has some joystick support built into i, but im not sure. either way i would be very keen to try out ur software when you get it working... keep up the good work!
