Looks like you have a bad ground for the screen. I have seen that before and a bad ground was the issue. Where are you getting the ground/power for the screen?
I would suggest that you get both power/ground from the computer's power supply.
well im have no degree or something in english and dont have a idea how its called in english
i have installed my carpc and the touchscreen its a lilliput 7"
now i have connected it to the battery got 2 battery's both do the same btw
and it works good the computer starts , gives me an image etc
but i see this very annoying stripes
ive tested many things, no extension cable between the screen and computer, different power sources , nothing else on because i have xenon lights and those give allot of interferance but thats alos not the problem, powered without the amp's head unit etc

thanks for the tip, i got the screen connected to the battery in the front of the car
and the computer in the back of the car
ill give it a try , also opened the case and post a pic of it here maybe someone can see if something is wrong like a wire against something that isnt supposed to be
Definitely don't connected straight to the battery. Get both the ground/power from the computer's power supply.
thanks fabworks, it sounds also logic what u say
i just tested the carputer on my starter kit
powered on that battery it doesnt give any stripe on the screen with the screen on a different battery btw
tomorrow when im done working i will test it on the power source of the computer self, got also an email from the guy i bought the carpc from
he said also something similar what u said
i will keep u guys posted
thanks again![]()
Are you using a M4 or M2 power supply??
its the m2
here some pictures of my computer
has the m2 not enough to also power the lilliput screen ?
![]()
The M4 and M2, in my opinion, are not worth the money...
I had serious issues with a M4 (screen problems like yours AND no sound out of the sound cards)...I tried 2 seperate M4's...same problems.
Bought an OPUS and called it a day![]()
Yeah, it is! Obviously the M4 couldn't power a pair of Xonar's...
It doesn't supply adaquate power to the PCI bus.
I tried TWO different M4's on TWO different motherboards! Nothing but static out of the sound cards...and corrupt display.
As soon as I hooked up the OPUS, no more issues...yeah, that doesn't sound like a power supply issue to me!
And I didn't even have the screen powered off the M4's...just the bare minimum.
I'm sure lot's of people don't have issues with the mini-box PSU...
But lots of people do have problems as well...
Anyways...
You might try powering the screen off the M2, and make sure the screen and M2 have a common ground point...preferably NOT a chassis ground, but straight from the battery...
