Have a look here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqXapuVl1LU
What I really want is a full keyboard with some kind of mouse control, such as a trackball or touchpad. I would prefer bluetooth but I haven't had much luck finding what I want.
This keyboard is pretty much just right, and at a decent price. The trouble is that it says the keyboard is only designed to work with the original Dell laptop. Could it be made to work with any computer?
I'm afraid that I'll just have to take the plunge to find out, but wanted to do my homework first.
Any other good keyboards that you guys know about would be nice, but I'm struggling to find viable options.
Very nice. That is so easy to do. Now that isn't quite good enough for a car setup, just needs a couple little things. I would actually clip off the other pins from the connector so it's impossible to make incidental contact. I'd also put a little bit more work into how that battery pack fits in there, but the concept of the job is good.
Hmm now to decide if I really do want this keyboard still.
Well actually it looks like that little project isn't necessary. Dell does in fact make a battery pack for the keyboard.
Here is the actual Dell link to the battery
My question that remains is how is this battery supposed to be recharged?
Hi sorry i live in the UK but the Keyboard cost me £25 on ebay and the battery pack plus bits was about £3 if you buy it from dell its about £80 to £100 and the battery pack for the keyboard is £50 to £70 the battery pack on ebay is about £40 and you need the Xps m2010 laptop to charge it. What i did is buy some rechargeable batteries for it i thinking on a idea at the mo but i need some input
This one is a bit big i have see smaller ones that fits in the back.
With this one you can plug it in to any USB to charge it.
Hi just had alook about and saw this video you can see the computer that you need to charge the battery but you can see the connecters for the battery if someone would come up with a dock for the keyboard it world be good.
