A new version of the joycon explorer software is out, I know it has solved others' issues with hibernation. Get the file here: http://www.changjack.com/software/Je...n7(091124).zip

This would be nice in my Murano..... Although I would have to put some kind of toggle switch inline with the common since I am using the steering wheel controls to control the stock radio/reciever/cd changer.

Would only be nice for changing songs and volume control which I have set-up for voice control at the moment.

Something to consider though for when I integrate the rear-seats entertainment system into the computer. I could easily stop/play/pause a dvd according to how the kids are acting up back there! lol

Thanks, I had done the upgrade already, somebody else posted the link in another forum too.

It works!! No issues with Windows 7 anymore. It hibernates and go to sleep well, and I can wake the computer up with the joycon.

    Cheers,

    RH

i just got my joycon, it's nice, very simple to set up. but 1 problem i'm having is that it prevents my motherboard from finishing it's POST when it's plugged in, so everytime i start my car i have to reach down, unplug it and plug it back in after the POST. i've tried turning off USB bootable and USB legacy mode, those where the only 2 usb settings i had in my bios. anybody know how i can fix this?

The joycon apparently does not work very well with some intel boards (I use one, DG45FC). It's basically a keyboard/mouse; that's what the board thinks it is. So you can try to deselect power on start from mouse click/keyboard (if any); halt on errors (especially keyboard absent) off or none; update/downgrade bios if there's something related to keyboard/error management changes from one to the other. In my board I have two bioses that don't work, but the latest and the one before the two before the latest do work with my current setup (one does not even boot!), so go figure.

But you can politely ask the joycon developers to play nice with Intel, there must be something odd that Intel requires that is not standard and they are not willing to change...They did solve my issues with their latest update.

Thanks ripplinghurst. I'll try to the bios upgrade/downgrade. it's actually not an intel board but an old midsouth pentium 4 board that i picked up from a customer when i upgraded his pc's. so it must be a standard spec that the rcjoycon didn't fulfill. boy i wish i had the option in my bios to turn off usb hid on boot. maybe a update will reveal that option.
i'll update once i get it figured out.

Is anyone using this with a Chrysler? I am afraid to install this and lose the steering wheel controls that the EVIC system uses...I am hoping I can just program the volume and next track buttons but keep the ones that control the vehicle's computer.

    Thanks

from what i gather that the joycon developer told me...you are not able to simultaneously control both the factory radio and the joycon.

you have to sever the wires leading to radio and route them to the joycon.

i am trying to look for a way/device that will allow me to control both.
i want the volume up/down buttons to control the factory radio and the track up/down, mode/mute to control the pc through the joycon.

I am looking for the same thing. Although the track up and down buttons are also used to toggle between other things such as tripometer and gas consumption....so really what I think we want is to have the track up and down to work when in general media mode (like when the odometer display shows the compass, track number, etc...) to work as a next track button and any other mode to work as a toggle button....

god I hope this already has been discovered because it sounds confusing lol.
