Lilliput EBY701 Horrible touch screen response

Lets be fair here and tell both sides of the story. No one is being difficult, in fact I would say the opposite. You initally send an email about the problem which was answered with in 15 minutes, seriously 15 minutes. The following 25 emails we exchanged, over the last 24 hrs, were also answered in a matter of minutes. You submitted an RMA request at 9:45pm and you had an RMA # by 2pm the following day. We offered to cross ship one with a deposit and I even told you that after we inspect it if it is something that should have been caught in the QC process we would give you a credit or refund for the return shipping fees. I went so far as to personally test one for you today, emailed you to tell you that I did that, and agreed to ship you a few other nick nacks that you needed with the monitor with no shipping charge. I understand that it is frustrating to buy an item and get a damaged one, but our response to the situation has been top notch.

I am being fair. I said Chris responded extremely fast. If you notice i give Chris nothing but praise. I wasn't referring to Chris's response time when i was saying it was horrid. It was that info address. Like i said Chris responds instantly at any time of night. I can't think of anything negative to say about him he is just been the most accomidating person over there.

As most of us can imagine when you shell out 500 bucks for something and then u wait for it to be shipped to you then you have to wait for someone answer an rma email. Ur frustrated as I was and I still don't feel that the info address responded as fast it should've but maybe that is just me.

I just got my new screen in today and the same problem exists. Am i just use to a softer touchscreen or are these screens just not sensitive at all. Has anyone used a linitx screen and one of these screens?'

Nevermind forgot to recalibrate.... working much better

Something just isnt right. The fact that all 3 of mine are so sensative makes me wonder what is going on. Try going to here http://www.touchkit.com/drivers/All_...10_Release.rar. They are the latest drivers. Uninstall all previous software and use the ones I linked too. If those dont work then something is up. Maybe they sent you back the same screen to test you?

I did exchange emails with Bxsteez tonight and he told me that the replacement is much better then the first unit. I agree with Hijack that something is odd about it though. We putt the cheap Lilliput touch panel and replace it with a very high end touch panel. The panel costs as much as the stock monitor. We also have not had any other complaints along the same lines. Does anyone know what kind of touch panel Linitx is using in their display? I am curious to know and I have never used one.
We are also not slimy and would never resend the same unit without informing the customer that we were doing so and in most cases offering them a refund if they are not going to be happy with the product. Each monitor is tagged with a 4 digit asset tag to avoid any confusion. Besides he opted for an advanced replacement that was shipped prior to receiving the first unit back.

Didnt mean to bring that up, but its happened to me, not with you guys. I had a dead pixel and I told them to test and send it back out. I got a screen with a new serial number but i had purposely marked the screen in a special way and what do you know, the new screen had that same mark, and the same dead pixel, lol.

Thats the thing. The EBY701 is very responsive, it sounds to me as though there is some type of USB issue. What I understand is that you are never supposed to have a touchscreen through a HUB, well I have all of them through a hub and they are still quick. The tiniest touch will make the screen respond immediately. Im not trying to get on Bxsteez case, I just think you have to do more testing. Have ypu tried this on another PC, and did you try the drivers I linked too?

PS: waitttttttttttttttttttttt, your using the transflective. Maybe thats why? I am not sure if the transflective layer goes ontop or under the touch panel. If its on the top then that could be the reason for needing more pressure.

Yea i tried the new drivers and i tried it on two different computers. Tried it through a hub and not through a hump. I've tried everything i know of but i still think the linitx is much more responsive or it maybe that my screen is not in a case so as i push it the whole thing is moving or there isn't even reverse force. I'm thinking once i put this thing in my kit it will be a different story. If theonlykid could try one of their screens fully intact and let us know how it works but i think i'm right. If i hold the screen in my hands and push its not too bad but the linitx is still better but i think its more expensive so it makes sense.

Oh and the guys at mobile computing solutions(mo-co-so.com) were pretty good about replacing the screen. I don't like having to pay to ship it back but since i needed fans and they threw those in the box with my replacement fans i didn't have to pay for shipping for that so it kinda evened out. I'm quite happy with them STILL lol.. I'll probably buy more from them if there isn't anything on their site that i don't already have lol..

It dont think the TFE upgrade had anything to do with it. The panels we use have circular polarizer on the bottom of the touch panel and a AR coating on the top surface. I believe that the AR layer goes under the ITO layer of the panel. The TFE films go under/behind the LCD panel.
Bxsteez Do you have a TFE Linitx monitor or a stock unit?
I will compare the touch response on both a 2x DIN and a stand alone to see if there is a noticeable difference.
