I dare tomyself abit here...
I can't seem to find any information on this anywhere, and hacktheibus group at yahoo takes ages, and on topp of that.. I lost my password/username combo![]()
Is there a way to check a state or setting with the IBUS.
I would like to query the light module.
If it's in Automatic, I want to do stuff that requires that my system can read out the info needed. Even if that info have been passed while the computer have been offline. (Otherwise I could use the computer to track all settings).
Or can it only ready while info have been sent on the bus...
Oh BTW: I'm using Reslers USB IBUS adapter.

use ibusservice which can be found in the roadrunner plugin section. it does all you need and road runner is the best car frontend
Well, this is still based on something that have to run at all times to capture all signals beeing sendt via the IBUS.
My question is more related to the IBUS system itself. Like, when there is not computer online with a logging program active. How do you then know the state of things?
IE: You start the car and turn on the main lights before the computer is online... How do then the computer (in this case IBUSSERVICE) know that the lights are on?![]()
hey Crinos,
That is an excellent question! You would definitely have better luck if you post on hacktheIbus - its a yahoo group. If you don't have yahoo account yet, just set one up and search for that group; they do have to approve you before you can search and post, but it is loaded with IBUS info. Good luck!
