It is in range +/-20€ as ELM327(NOT Chinese copy )...

If you have OBD v1.1a(I think that from 1.1a) support CAN commands. So if Im right 1.1a, 1.2 and 1.3 support CAN commands so you don't need buy this Lawicel CAN device...
Im buy USB version. Yes Im buy 9pin DB9 connector and on other side put 8pin ISO/HeadUnit power connector because my car have on original headunit CAN connection...

This is one cheap ELM copy... If use ELM v1.3 chip(I think it use copy of this chip) then must support CAN data BUT not with ELM softwares... Try CAN Hack application or somethink that if you get some data... if not you can try connect it to Radio power connector(I don't remember which pins are for CAN data) but you must know which pin's on DB9 connector on your boy is for CAN communicating... Here I can't help you a lot...
