first off, i'm italian and i don't speak a good english so.. sorry for my english

i have a problem with my carpc:

i've installed a usb sd card reader in my car, connected at the carpc by a usb cable extension.
card reader has been intergated in the dashboard, near the monitor...

the carpc is composed by asrock motherboard, cpu intel e5200, 2 gb ram, S.O. windows xp (a light version)

the problem is that when i shoot down the carpc, when i restart it, card reader doesn't work cause windows xp detect it like a unknows device....
so i have to disconnect and reconnect the usb cable, and in this way the card reader is detected and works correctly....

but in a carpc i can't every time disconnect and reconnect the usb cable, cause the reader is hidden and in the dashboard i have just the slot to insert the sd card.... so i would like solve this problem....


i've tested the card reader in a notebook with windows vista, and here it works correctly and it's detected every time that i restart windows...

so, how can i resolve this problem? it could be a windows xp problem? a mother board problem? a drivers problem?
