Ok, I have spent over an hour searching now and have not found what I am looking for. Let me explain my issue better. I am using a computer microphone connected via my pci sound card. The microphone is plugged into the microphone port on the card. The microphone works fine and sound is fine (a little quite (people say it sounds like I am on speaker phone - go figure)). My issue is the microphone stays on all the time. Not just when using the mobile phone plug in .net Bluetooth Mobilephone Plugin in RideRunner Elite Lite skin.

Is there a setting that needs to be changed? Does everybody elses microphone stay on all the time? Do I need to add/change some code somewhere? I just need to know if the microphone is suppose to be on all the time or just when using the plugin

I think the question here is What do you mean by "on all the time"? Most computer microphones are always "active" in the sense that a program can connect to them and record sound. What, exactly, is yours doing that you perceive this to be a problem?

Nope, that's perfectly normal. Unless you have your mic-in routed to your audio out, causing echo, you should be OK.

There are separate settings for Playback and Recording, mute MIC in the playback MIC settings and check the "Select" box on MIC in the recording settings. I donīt know what OS you are using but on XP you double-click on the speaker icon in the taskbar, now you should see the audio settings. Default it is showing Playback settings, mute MIC. Select Properties from the Options menu, select recording, and now make sure you have the MIC selected for recording.

By doing this you shouldnīt get any echo...
