    How to test an Infra Red remote

    I thought I'd share with you this nit little trick.
    While pushing any button, point the remote towards a camcorder or a webcam. If you see white flashes of light, the remote is working.
    In the picture below, I tested the remote using my webcam.

    Yeah, I started doing that in 1985 to test remotes when I was 15 at Radio shack...

    I'm just waiting for the retinal upgrades so I can see IR lights and see in the dark ... then I could get a job at RadioShack testing remotes...
