Joycon (original) issues with Windows 7

So I recently upgraded my carputer's OS to Windows 7 Pro (from an nLited XP Pro SP3), and I've come across a problem with the joycon during hibernation. When I resume or even cold boot, the joycon is stuck (either the entire bar or just one button is green). When I reload the PRS file in the Joycon Explorer, everything is back to normal. I haven't had these issues in XP, but I like Win7 a lot better (it works well with my setup).

I run Centrafuse 2 on an Intel D945GCLF2 with 2GB ram. I currently programmed a button on Centrafuse to the PRS file. I have to click on it every time I resume. I can deal with it for now, but it's a bit bothersome.

Any way to cure this or even set up Windows to load the file and close joycon explorer silently when I reboot/resume?
    Thanks!

Had the same problem. Actually still have the problem but have a workaround. First of all, make sure you're running the latest version of Joycon Explorer. Any chance you are running the joycon through a usb hub? The problem went away when I plugged it directly into my PC. But since I need to run it through a hub, I made a shortcut to the PRS file and stuck the shortcut in my startup folder (on shortcut, I selected "Run Minimized" so it doesn't popup over CF at startup). Since I always cold boot, it works for me. I don't think the shortcut would do anything from hibernation. However, I believe some people have had success from hibernation by plugging it directly to the PC.

Also, make sure JoyCon is run with elevated rights (run as admin).

I'll have to give that a shot. I also have it connected to a hub. I never had an issue when it was in running in XP. I would switch back, but I found all my settings to work better under 7.

Also, would Joycon Explorer 'run as admin' if the user account is already an admin?
    Thanks!

Intel D945GCLF2 has trouble when it resumes from sleep.

In Windows XP, D945GCLF2 doesn't turn off cooling pan when it goes into sleep,
and there is no trouble when it resumes.
But in Windows7, D945GCLF2 turn off cooling pan when it goes into sleep,
and sometimes hangs when it resumes.

I did resuming test with no device attatched, no USB device even with no PS2 keyboard or mouse. D945GCLF2 went into sleep and resumed only by power switch. But it hangs while resuming almost once every 5 times.

    cooling pan?

I'm not having any trouble with windows coming out of hibernation on my d945gclf2. I haven't tried sleep, as I'm okay with hibernation for now. I just wanted to know if there's a way to automate reloading the joycon PRS file when I come out of hibernation.
    Thanks!

I'm running Windows 7 and had a problem with the Joycon losing settings coming out of hibernation (previously resorted to using shutdown instead). I'm not using a hub, but for what it's worth, I replaced the Joycon with the new Joycon Ex and don't have this problem any more. I'm using the same version of Joycon Explorer with both pieces of hardware.

So I tried connecting it directly to the board and it seems to work fine now. I have to really test it to see if it works as it should.

It's weird that this started to happen after installing windows 7. Now to take apart the car again to add the extra usb extension.

The thing is, I bought the Joycon back in november, a few days before the announcement of the future update (the EX). I want to get my money's worth before resorting to buying the EX.
    Thanks!
