Thread: SMK LINK , the perfect CarPC input device

So Yesterday while browsing at Micro Center I came across a rather unique device that I'm glad I picked up. It is made by SMK LINK, and cost me $60. It seemed a bit expensive at first but, it turned out to be worth every penny. It is quite small, about the size of a gaming console controller. Small enough to be convenient, but big enough to actually have good usability. The device contains a full QWERTY keyboard, a joystick mouse controller, a scroll pad, mouse buttons on top, a 4 way arrow pad, volume controls, media controls, a handful of function buttons, and 2 windows specific buttons. It is also wireless with 30ft of range. It has a holder for the USB Rx on the back. I was amazed at how easy this device is to use and how well it worked, plugging it into windows XP and it worked perfect, everything with no drivers needed. Plugged it into Linux Mint v8 and most features were working right of the box with no configuration. Overall I think this device is a winner, works great for updates or software configs in the car, and is perfect for it's intended purpose HTPC use. Thought I would share because this is a high quality part, well designed, and has made my life easier.
