Thread: What do you think of this web/backup cam?

If you're looking for a usb one you're looking for a webcam, notta backup cam. Backup cams usually a composite output. I'm not aware of any USB cams that would be waterproof. I just bought a cheapie off ebay a few years back and its been working like a charm ever since. Check out the mp3car store for some selections too.

If you really want to have it be USB connectible simply buy a USB capture device and send the backup camera sensor through that. Thats how i do it.

Yeah I want a USB webcam to act as my backup camera I have a logitec one I bought for $20 the other day at walmart to test it out on centrafuse. It works in the right light settings. Sunglare is impossible to see. I'm guessing if I have a CCD Image Sensor it will fix that problem(and an autofocus would be a plus).

Now you have the right idea and yes it will work in CF SNO

exactly, as long as the USB capture device is WDM capable (most of them are) it will work hassle free in CF.
