I'm pretty sure you don't need a Keyboard plugged in. My old set up had a USB Numeric keypad and no keyboard for a period of time with no issues. Hell, I have a server runing in the closet with nothing but a power cord and patch cable connected to it.Originally posted by adrian_uk17
I have just received my powermate very impressive, little on the big size though could have been a bit smaller!
I was hoping that i could tell it on say a click to wake the laptop from stanby but this does not seem to be possible.
Basically i have win XP, i can get the laptop to wake from stanby with any keystroke on the keyboard, but i was kinda hoping i would not need a keyboard, as i will be having a touch screen and powermate should have been sufficient!
The other option which i would imagine will work is to plug a numerical keypad into the ps2 post? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
I also have a powermate. You should be able to bind any keystroke to the "click" function. Make sure you have the latest drivers too.
