    Finding Touchscreens

I'm looking for a 5" touchscreen kit (to add to my PSOne LCD). I know digitalww has a 5.8", but can it be used and set to only work in the 5" area?

they do have what you want.

with good skill you might be able to make them send you a "sample" for testing purposes......

    Lightbulb Would this work?

If you were to get a touch screen larger than your LCD, and mount the LCD toward one corner, (so that all the extra touchscreen fell on 2 sides of the LCD) how difficult would it be to map the touchscreen so that the extra area around the edges could be used as hotkeys (similar to the silkscreen buttons on a Palm PDA)? Seems like this could be pretty useful, but I don't have any experience with touchscreens, and don't know how easy it would be to set up. Any thoughts from those who have experience setting up touch screens?
