    Unlock door without keys

I would like a system to unlock my door in case I ever forget my key inside the car again. Thing is I don't want to spend 300$ on a special system.
I've graduated from an industrial electronics school so I should know my way around the wiring. I don't even need to lock them, just a simple relay the be added would do it I guess.
I have a galaxy nexus phone with NFC capability, so that would be my preference if you know such a way. Next would be with bluetooth since I wouldn't need any extra equipment. Then there is RFID if none of the other solution works.

Because i have shaved doors, first thing i did was to put a switch unde the hood and when i prees the hood in the area where the switch is,the driver's door relay is activated. In your case you have to connect the switch to the central door locking system,on the "unlock" wire .
    Oltcit turbo power!

I would like to see a capacitive touch panel area on the front windshield near the VIN that you could program a swipe pattern to unlock doors in case your keys are locked in.

This might do what you need. http://www.phidgets.com/products.php...duct_id=1129_1 It works very well and can be used with the 1018 controller. Most FE's have a plug-in or native support available. SNO

**** dude, make your own topic.
For the others, I went the RFID way. For julaikos, it was harder than that, both the lock and unlock use the same wire, but one through an 4.7k resistor if I remember right. But thanks for trying. But next time, don't revive old thread

Congrats on finishing the system. Just for professional curiosity what type of range did you go with for the RFID? NFC range is still really short since the mobile payments applications are the current driving force in the world of NFC. You have many different options with Bluetooth, which is my neck of the woods, but not that many systems on the market. I'm trying not to be biased, but we do have a Passive Bluetooth Keyless system available (look under my profile for info).
