    Question Laptop CD 2 to Pc????

    First Note, I've never own an laptop. But, i'm very interested in building a CarPUTER using a slim laptop cd rom drive. Has anyone tried it before, if so, what type of wire do i use. Also, what brand are good for PC if posible? Any picture would help thanks in advances.

    Hopefully, it not usb, i'm trying to avoid usb cause i'm using that port for something else.

    if u install the computer in the front, it still possible to have IDE run to the slim cd .. other , extend ya usb or use firewire

    so, you mean, the laptop cd rom use IDE cable like regular computer does?...hmm.. i never own a laptop so i figure it use some smaller cable or something.

    there is a board that convert from slim conector to IDE .. for short distance .. it should be alright ..
