    resurrecting this from the dead...

hey all... long time reader... i've registered and posted in the past... looks like this has made me re-register...

i'm currently set up w/ a kenwood head unit... laptop for carputer...

i've got my ipaq 2215 sitting around collecting dust and the idea of having the pda used as remote desktop for the carputer simply amazes me....

further more... to have this work w/ bluetooth would just make this jaw dropping for me...

search after search, thread after thread... no one has really defined what can be used... i currently have a wired keyboard and mouse for my current setup... but having the PDA used for my various tasks would definetly be a benefit...

if at all possible... would someone be able to point me in the right direction? everyone here says VNC is the way to go... yet everyone says it's slow... and i haven't read anything about it being used w/ bluetooth...

    any help would be appreciated...

    regards

TSC- you lose the screen though
    VNC
    AVIMS
MPblue (if you have media Portal)
and there are others but they are not free, like a program that makes you PPC a remote display via wifi. You can put widgets on it and even an OSK.
