Ok, im in the comptuer business and i have a laptop. But im really into my car and i have a whole stereo system wit da subs and everything. But im sick of changing the cds and burning cd's
I want to connect my computer to the car and somehow connect it to the HU so i can get the car speakers to work with it.
I know i need the power invertor for the power of the laptop.
My laptop obviously has a speaker or headphone connection?
so is there a cable that goes from computer speaker jack to the HU or asomething.
My HU has the RED and WHITE RCA connection, but one pair which my ext. amp is connected to.
If anybody can help that would be great..

You're in the computer business and you don't know if your laptop has a headphone jack? Scary.Originally Posted by Jonboy385

What you need to do here is RTFM for your equipment. You'll be able to figure out if your head unit supports an AUX in if you do.Originally Posted by Jonboy385
If it supports aux in with RCA jacks, every Radio Shack, Best Buy, and audio store will have a Minijack to RCA converter cable. They're as common as AOL CD's.
If it supports Aux in, but not with an RCA jack, your head units manual will tell you the exact part you need to make it work.
This makes me assume that these are not aux inputs. Why? Because they go OUT to yourOriginally Posted by Jonboy385
amplifier. If you disconnected them to plug in something else, how would any sound get to your speakers?
Also you should read this all the way through.
