I have the andrea electronics USB array microphone. You need to get both the USB Stereo Microphone sound pod and the microphone itself to use it. You can get this online at a bunch of places, for instance. I have tried this in my car, but I have yet to permantly mount it. I have gotten fairly good recognition with it, but I haven't fully tested it yet. It does sound really clear though and does a great job of filtering out background noise when just listening to your recorded voice. The one side effect the array microphone has though is that it sometimes picks up random sounds as a start to voice recognition more so then regular microphones so having an enabler button that enables recognition only when you want to speak is a must.

If you have a bluetooth phone and your have bluetooh in your car you can use it as the mic for a hands free kit. Your car speakers would make the other half of the kit.
