Alright well, I got the sony ir remote rm-x5s and I must confess, I have no idea what the hell im doing. I have no idea how to set this thing up in girder I tried it with winlirc and it picked up the signal from the remote. Gave me some raw numbers but thats all i got. Im using the serial receiver from a mindpath fx50 remote. Am I doing something wrong here?

You need a gameport on your mobo or a gameport-to-usb-adapter. Then you must solder resistors. Then you need the joyaxis.dll for girder.

But all that should be somewhere in this thread.

the X5S is different as it is in IR - I have no clue how to use it with a computer- it is not a standard signal it is sending.

So far tests have picked up a non-readable signal while using a modified winLIRC at 40 kHz, but that's the closest to using it anyone came so far.

    dig and good luck

    Hi Gore-

Great resume. I understand most of it.
    Maybe an English version?
Or after I get my X2S working, I try to translate.

My X2S still on its way from ebay.

It uses a different frequency. I believe it's 455khz. I don't know of any serial or usb receivers that will pick up this signal.
