That looks like the Zippy el-610. If that is the one I have it and love it. I havn't tried to butcher it and don't think I will at this point.

Is anyone using one of these?
I thought it might fit rather well into the sunvisor when butchered a little.

I have a Zippy EL-610. I was originally going to rip off the case and mount it in the driver's visor. But once I got the keyboard, I realized how small it really is. I've now decided to just stuff it in the glove box, and only pull it out when I need it.
I did take my Zippy apart though. I couldn't resist. And it is almost identical to any other keyboard inside. It's got a membrane circuit mounted on a stiff plastic backing with the keys laid over top. It would not be hard at all to mount in a visor. Your first concern would be where to stuff the small board that holds the cable connector and the controller chip. There is also another small board that holds the buttons (power/shutdown, illumination, etc.). They are small boards so it shouldn't be tough to stuff them inside a visor. I think the only thing that made me not mount it was the illumination.
The keyboard, by default, illuminates whenever you boot the PC. I didn't want that blue glow coming from my visor all the time, and I didn't feel like wiring a toggle switch into the illumination circuit.

Don't the zippy have a toggle button for on/off illumination?
if it comes standard ON, maybe there's a way to invert that.
