have a search for parallel port relay controllers.
I want my cap pc to control my car lights... e.g neons stobes and stuff like that.. is this possible? if so how would i do it? i want something i can plug into my pc and click a button or something (shortcut keys)

there are lots of these thing out there but they look like alot of work. i may decide to pursue it in the future but right now my car PC project is on the back burner

Controlling lights on that bugger will be a tad bit easier than if you were talking about, say, a 2001 Pontiac Firebird, but you will still need to do some searching for how to control relays using your PC. There are already some prefab controllers out there for relatively cheap, but wiring it all up is a bit of a challenge, and with that nice (though old) set of wheels you have there, you are efficiently outside my ability to offer tips on how to go about it.
