USB Sound Card

Zalman USB

If you don't already know, Zalman is a well respected company that is pretty much doing everything from cooling to, well, sound cards. I was wondering, it has inputs for Front, Rear, and Subwoofers. How does this work in the car?

I think those are output ports. Probably 1/8th headphone size jacks.

My SB Audigy 2 NX also has these 1/8th jacks. I'm plugging in 1/8th to RCA adapters and running RCA cables to my 4 channel amp and 2 channel sub amp(uses left RCA only)

If you plug in 1/8th to RCA in those, you should get 6 RCA connector heads out.

The rear goes tot he rear 4 ch amp channel etc...that was you will have surround sound.

BTW, the SB MP3+ is a nice USB soundcard with optical in and out and more. It's only 40 buks at Bestbuy. The cool thing about the Zalman is it has 3 volume controls for each output.

If your low on cash and don't wanna setup surround sound get the MP3+.

If you want 4.1 5.1 or 6.1 or 7.1, then get the SB Audigy 2 NX like I have which can go straight into 2 or more amps.

The cheapest I found it was for 130 bucks plus shipping, http://s1.amazon.com/exec/varzea/ts/...261785-2086466 I just spent 450 bucks on hardware / sofware, so 130 is a bit too rich right now .... I'll get the mp3+ and if I decide to go surround I'll use this one for my home.
