Thread: Datalux touchscreen problems...

Its too bad no one has responded because I am having the exact same problem. Im also uing the touchware software and it scans all the com ports and does not detect the touch screen at all, which i have hooked up to my serial port. I dont know what to do, have you since found a solution to the problem????? OR can anyone else help with this problem??

I purchased my Datalux LMV10R from jpainter... he seems to know his stuff about them. When I first received mine, I had a little trouble getting it all set up... my problem turned out to be the baud rate setting in the touchware settings... I don't recall what it needs to be set to, but if you haven't played with that, try adjusting and testing with different settings. I want to say it was set at 9600 but could be wrong.

I'll have to look again, but as I recall the software automatically searched all the possible baud rates-- and still found nothing...

Coincindentally i also have purchased from jpainter, although i didnt buy my datalux screen from him, only a custom made power adpater which hooks up to the Power supply unit in my computer rather then the one that plugs into a wall socket (pretty cool!). Anyways i have his email so i guess i will try asking him.

I would try changing the baud rate, but you can not adjust that setting until the touch screen controller is found on one of the com ports. Since it cannot be found, (it just keeps asking me if i want to choose another com port, but none of them find it) I cannot adjust the baud rate.

My screen did not come with a cd so i just downloaded the touchware drivers from the link on datalux's site. I think i have the right drivers and they are probably not the problem but; i am not exactly sure if they are the right ones for my screen because datalux's site doesnt have the greatest driver support.

Sounds like we're both in the same place, I'd love to know what you find out about this problem...

I too have this problem, i have a LMV10RB/83-189148 puter cannot find controller on com ports.
I am at a loss, this is my first TS and I have tried everything- have searched and read posts for a week and no help, just several posts in the past with the same problem-no solutions.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!

Anyone have any new ideas, i'll try anything at this point.
