I've used the swi-x on hundreds of cars. It's IR signal does not work properly with the media center receiver I have in my Lincoln LS. This should work.
The only problem I see is if the reference ground for the controls is not supplied at the HU. Hunting it down to convert it to 5v+ could be fun.

I would like to do this for my jeep. But I am having some problems. I do not understand these wireing diagrams, and I cannot figure out if the IP-Bus wire is the one to use. No one seems to know if these controls varry by voltage, I am assuming they do. It is a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I a 120K resistor across pins 6 & 8 and another 120K across pins 1 & 3. Connect the X4S in parallel with one of theses sets of pins. First calibrate the joystick in windows then set your settings in SWC. I'll post some pics later.Quote:

The change in voltage you are seeing is the result of a change of resistance.Quote:
